1999. That
followed a front page story in the New York Times on October 10,
1999. That
story was run by hundreds of newspapers, both large and small across the
country. The story concerned how the IRS was refusing to accept installment
agreements and was leaving billions uncollected despite the intent of the
taxpayers to make significant monthly payments.
The October,
1999 issue of Worth magazine features an article on the current state of the IRS
entitled More Mr. Nice Guy. Steve Kassel was the only tax practitioner
quoted in the article. The article can be found on the Worth
website.
On August 4, 1999, he was quoted on CNNfn.com, one of the most
heavily visited financial web sites on how to hire a tax pro to
negotiate with the Internal Revenue Service.
Steve Kassel was
quoted in the New York Times on July 18,
1999 in an article on how changes at the IRS are
affecting the tax representation business.
On July
20, 1999, he was quoted again in the New York Times in an article on newly
announced IRS hardship rules.
In January,
1998, Steve was quoted in the nation's leading tax industry publication, Tax

Steve
appeared on WJMN Boston on April 18, 2000 as well as on KSSK, Honolulu on April
29, 2000. Both are top rated stations in their respective markets.
